I advise buying a tv and mount from best buy that they do not have at the store. I spent 2300+ on a tv and mount and the sales rep told me i could schedule a delivery and installation within 48 hours online and I was told the tv could be installed by end of week. 48 hours later it still showed unable to schedule online so i called the number to schedule and they put me on hold and decided to schedule dates of their choosing without consulting me. to add to the ridiculousness they scheduled the delivery on one day and installation the next day with a 12 hour window for their arrival on 2 different dates. as if that isn’t bad enough they just now called me and told me the mount would not arrive to them until august 10th. but of course there was no guarantee on that time table and they already fooled me twice so i advised them to cancel the entire order which they did. except when they processed the refund while on the phone they shorted me 106.34. i asked why and they couldn’t answer so they put me on hold and when they came back they told me the other 106.34 was for installation (which was included in the price and not itemized anywhere on my receipt) and would be refunded at a later date. No wonder best buy laid off and closed stores. I wouldn’t buy anything there unless it’s in stock!
UPDATE: immediately after writing this review i went on pc richard website and ordered the same tv, the best mount (you can move it) available (the other one form best buy was fixed flat mount) and installation. it cost 200 more but they will be installing it tommorow LMAO

June 22nd update: Geek Squad, how are you all “Apple Authorized” when you still have to put in a repair form AND talk to Apple themselves? I wasted an hour and a half with you all trying to get my iPhone X’s battery replaced because you apparently kept getting errors with the form on your computer which then resulted in me and my father having to look at some guy looking at a computer screen “chatting” with Apple support with no sign of progress. You can’t even touch the iPhone without Apple’s approval? I feel like that’s not actually being “Authorized” when again, you have to put in a form and contact Apple themselves anyways. Won’t be taking any of my Apple products to a Best Buy ever again.

Original review around April: What’s the point of making an appointment for Geek Squad if you guys are going to tell the customer nothing but excuses AND for them to go all the way to Trumbull instead? Sorry that you guys are short staffed but do something about that asap because not everyone wants to go all the way to Trumbull for Geek Squad services. After paying $180 for the My Best Buy Total membership too like I would want a refund if this is how this location’s Geek Squad is always going to be. The only guy that was there was mumbling too like speak up buddy. Quite a sign of this location potentially going out of business next like the Orange location.

Ordered an item and picked it up last weekend. 2 days later, the day before I picked it up the item went on sale. Employee at customer service acknowledged the sale price, said he credited my account but couldn’t give me a receipt it should refund in a few days. I asked if I can call next week in case it doesn’t and if the phone lines would be open unlike Covid, he said yes. WHAT A MISTAKE, phone lines go straight to “global Best Buy” customer service. Spoke with 2 reps, said they can’t give me the $100 off (sale price) refund over the phone because the promotion is now OVER. Tried a few more times, I couldn’t even understand what they were saying. Tried Best Buy chat, also said they can’t do it over chat and I should go back to the store 40 minutes away. (The ONLY reason I chose north haven is because I could get the item a week earlier). Drove to another Best Buy store in person closer to me, customer service said sorry can’t do it. Had to beg for a manager who was actually willing to DO THEIR JOB and refunded the $100 off sale price without any issue. This was the worst experience I have ever had with Best Buy the hurdles I had to go through for them to acknowledge their own price match/sale policies on what they sell. I will never purchase anything from BestBuy again, they’ve gone way down hill and the customer service is nonexistent.
