If I could I would leave -5. I brought a rexing dash cam.i had it installed at this store. The tech was 25 minute late. He had not ever worked on a Rav 4 prime. He failed to tell me that. He cause warning lights to turn on during the installation. He then disconnected the battery not knowing this action would cause my head unit to freeze. It needed a password/code that I didn’t have. I had to take it to the dealer it cost $189.00 to get it fixed. The tech discussed this with his manager. They decided it was my fault for not knowing the password/code. They told me they would not pay for the cost of the of the repair the dealer charged. The reason I was given was the manager determined it was my fault because I should have known the code. I called the number given to me by the tech to speak directly with the manager .I left a message. He never called me back. I and the church members have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Best Buy. Heretofore Best Buy always stood behind the quality of their goods and services. I am so disappointed and appalled that this is the kind of service that management tolerates and encourages from their employees at this store. This is the only store I’ve received this kind of subpar quality of service from. If you want to be blamed for the negligence of technicians who proceed with installations even when ignorant of the knowledge needed to make professional decisions about jobs they take on. If you don’t mind literally pay for the education of their staff after they cause damage to your property then you should shop at this store.I feel I should be given a refund for the $99.00 charge for a service not appropriately done and the $189.00 charge I had to pay the dealer to fix the problem the technician created by not being professional and having thorough knowledge of the product, vehicle and possible complication their actions may cause.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, THIS STORE DOESN’T DESERVE THE SALE. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Like many other people leaving reviews here, the customer service at this store is HORRIBLE. I asked the woman who greeted me at the door if she knew where I could find a cable for an external hard drive I purchased at the store. Without looking up from her phone she said “over by the phones”. After walking to the area where the phones were there were no cords. I asked her if I could get assistance, she said “no, we are busy right now” I asked for the store manager she says: “I am the store manager” (She’s probably the manager on duty not the full time manager) This “manager” was lazy, uninterested in helping and incompetent to boot. Meanwhile I look around and see employees talking to each other doing NOTHING…I then ask here where else a cord might be located she points in the direction of the corner of the store. I walk back there and see more employees talking to each other doing nothing. I ask one to assist and he does, but he still can’t find the cord. I ask where the external hard drives are located walk over there myself and find the cord myself. I was considering buying a big screen TV from this store but will look elsewhere based on this experience. Called back this morning to talk to the store manager or regional office-stores don’t even take direct calls anymore and the call center does not even know the name of the store manager. What a broken customer service process….
I purchased a laptop on June 26 online, they charged my card and I did not receive it. UPS has no status on my shipment. I called Suzan Josef from Customer Support, after 15 minutes with her, she replied that she has an issue with the system and she cannot do anything for me, she asked me to call back after 24 hours. She refused to transfer the call to supervisor or someone can help. I called again the supervisor Daniel Jason and he offered me only refund, he said ” that best buy only website shows the item is available and actually it is not. I went personally to best buy in Orland Park Illinois. I talked to Gentleman he is Manager his name Marshaun, gave me an attitude and he keep saying that is normal and happened a lot and I should not be mad or annoyed. He told me you have only two option either refund or call Best buy corporate office to file claim against UPS, HE TURNED HIS FACE AND HE DID NOT WANT TO TALK TO ME ANYMORE.
THE WORRST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FROM A MANAGER MARSHAUN.
