I go home I look up the terms and conditions online and it most definitely does not cover accidental damage. It does for small items like headphones or something else but not my $4,000 TV. To make sure I read over and looked over everything.
I then called Best buy support on the total care. I asked them the same scenario if my kid threw something at the screen would it be covered under this protection plan. The guy told me yes in a very disguised way. He was basically beating around the bush and not giving me an exact answer. I decided to push and made sure that he showed me where it was in the terms. Eventually he conceded and said yes That is not covered under it. During this 20 minute phone call the guy was quite rude and I asked to file a complaint against the store. He said yes I can take the complaint. His name was Sean he wouldn’t give me any other information about his name or employee ID he just said it was recorded. I asked him to send me to a different person because I didn’t like how he was speaking with me. He said no I’m the guy there’s no one to talk to. I asked again and he said okay hold on came back 30 seconds later and said everyone is busy. I said thanks and hung up I decided I’ll call back later.
After the protection plan would have taken place and if I needed it I would have gone to the store thinking that I would have been covered. This is not the case. Don’t be fooled by these salesmen selling you a protection plan that doesn’t protect against accidents. I would steer clear of Bradenton Best buy because of the lies specifically from Chris. Now chris said he was trained by the manager to give this scenario so I can’t necessarily blame him if in fact that is what he actually believes. There was another girl at the front listening the entire time because no one else was there and she also said nothing except was nodding her head like yes that’s protected.
Shame on you Best buy Bradenton
Edit: I can see from the other reviews that they basically have a scripted response to anyone who writes negative thing. This to me shows additionally that they don’t really care over there. I don’t want to reach out to Best buy Twitter or other source. It’s the owner wants to reach out to me I’m okay with that.
