i went to the store looking to get a gopro. I left and they gave me the wrong batteries that were not compatible with the camera I purchased. I later came back, returned the batteries, and went to purchase a new camera as well because I was unhappy with the one I had purchased. After getting a new battery and asking for everything I would need for it to work, I left the store again and on the drive home was looking at the necessities for assembly. It said I needed a sd card, which again i was not informed of when I inquired towards the necessary purchases for this device. I returned to the store again and asked which sd card would work, and a worker gave me one that they said works with the camera. I left again, tried the sd card, and it did not fit for the camera. I once again had to return to the store, explained my situation, was greeted with attitude from all of the workers, and had to repurchase the sd card. Mind you, I am a 16 year old girl who knows nothing about cameras, and it took me seconds of looking at my camera to see that both the batteries and the sd card I purchased would not work with the camera. I understand the people working here are on minimum wage, but u would think that they would have minimal knowledge on a front displayed item in the store.
Many of the staff members are great, however, there is no interest in helping or tending to customers. I have been a total tech member for the last 3 years and until now they never managed to resolve ANY of the problems I had. Today I went there to ask for help with a cd player to connect to my car and was told that they don’t think that it even exists. Went home and found it on their website! They really need to pay attention to their customer service.
Store manager at this location is a liar, rude and unethical. He made up a policy that contradicts Best Buy’s exchange policies which are published online. My issue was resolved by dealing with customer support online but it should’ve been remedied by the location in which I purchased the product.
Honesty and integrity are quality’s that aren’t present at the eatontown location.
