I took my Desktop to the Tyler Texas store to get fixed and they didn’t even look at it before he the Geek squad guy started tilling me I am sorry your going to have to buy a new computer and towers are so expensive right now so he showed me a all in one Dell computer. Now I ask if he was sure he couldn’t fix it and told him your going to till my mom about her computer. So than he said I might be able to check it for virus and clean it up a bit ok . It say on there shelf for two days and they didn’t have any other computers in it was just my mom’s tower and another customer computer. They didn’t do anything for two days and right before I came in the started to work on it for thirty mins before I got there. I am not happy with the Tyler store . I took my business to the Rockwall Texas Best buy where I was very welcomed into the store and they Geek squad person started looking at my mom tower right away and told me not to buy any thing that he might have to update it but we didn’t need anything new . He told me we will probably have to update it alot and run a virus check and clean it up for you. Put please don’t buy anything until I look at it and till you what you need. I said ok how long is it going to be he said the turn around is three day but I am taking back right now to see what is going on with it ok . I said ok thank you. So I give The Rockwall store ten stars but the Tyler Texas store a one star and I will never go back there again
Geek squad Tyler, TX refused to service my Mac Desktop because my mother brought it in to be serviced for me but when you schedule a repair it asks if you or someone else is bringing it in. I attempted to speak with the “supervisor” who proceeded to insult my mother on the phone with me by stating “I don’t know if she wants me to do magic or something because the screen is turning white”. I had to tell him that’s why it was brought to Geek Squad to assess and fix the problem and not to insult my mother again. He proceeded to state that I had to bring in the computer because we can’t live in 2 different states. The computer is mine, the membership is mine, I live in between 2 states. Clearly he’s never left Tyler, TX because legally you can only have one ID and my ID is where my primary residence is located in Louisiana. He asked me to send him a picture of my ID which I told him I would not do. It is 2024 and scamming is real. Very poor customer service. I hope Best Buy is paying him $1,000,000 for policing where people domicile compared to their IDs vs. actually repairing computers.
Little kid at the front refused to price match both the manufacturer, and Amazon, and also any other online store selling my item for less (literally best buy is has the highest price of everyone, not very competitive). What I am buying is not cheap. And I came here intending to buy not 1, but 2 of said item. Only one was on the shelf but he showed 2 or 3 in stock when I asked. However, he refused to see if he could find me a 2nd one, and did not offer to send anyone else to find it either. Didn’t seem to care about making sales. So I will buy from somewhere else that has a better price and better customer service. I really would have preferred to use my best buy credit card on this instead of a different card elsewhere. But I’ll vote with my wallet anyway.
