I would call this a comedy of errors but there’s nothing funny about it. I need to replace an air conditioner and this was the only store who had the one I needed so I placed an online order. It was a 40 mi drive and I pulled in and didn’t see any curbside loading area, so I parked and walked in. Note, the curbside pickup was the only one recommended by the Best Buy app. It had been raining but it been lessened to just a drizzle, but when I walked in they said I couldn’t get curbside pickup because they’d stopped it because of rain. They wanted me to come back sometime when it wasn’t raining. I have attached the photos of the amount of rain, which was inconsequential. They said I could load it myself but didn’t offer any help (The item was a 70 lb air conditioner.). They showed me where the air conditioner was; it had been set on its side and the box was pretty beat up. Store was nearly empty with lots of young employees just hanging out. I had to find a card and load the air conditioner on the cart, pull my truck up to the door, and attempt to loaded in the back seat of my truck. I was struggling (I’m a senior citizen) and a customer coming out helped me get it in the back of my truck while the employees watched from inside.

When I went to check at the next morning the air conditioner was inoperable and actually blew a circuit when I plugged it in. All the styrofoam was broken up inside and some parts were bent. I took it back to my local Best Buy and returned it.

This store is apparently the bottom of the barrel. I walked through and took some pictures, and there are more empty shelves than there are ones with product.

I have the option of ordering the air conditioner from Best Buy but I’m going to pick up a slightly more expensive one from BrandsMart. Best Buy used to have the upper hand over BrandsMart because of customer service but it appears no longer true.

They are kids who know nothing about products and nothing about service. Horrible experience. I wanted to buy a full kitchen and while I was getting measurements for the refrigerator and browsing I considered also getting an iPad for my daughter I checked the price refurbished was the same as Amazon but because it was convenient I’ll buy it. It took me fifteen minutes to get someone with a key then that person didn’t have a key next person comes and is questioning me like I’m going to steal it. What color do you want what size? All this was established already! That one! It’s refurbished just show me it’s ok and let’s get it nope! Get the mgr ok same thing non sense run around ok well at the desk you open it and just show me it’s not scratched etc and I’ll buy it right now. Nope. You must purchase it then if it’s scratched return it. WHAT!! waste of time and they know I was picking stuff out for two hours. That’s why commission help is good sometimes anyway I purchased nothing I walked out wasted my one day off but I’m not buying from them. I see nothing but problems ahead. The cardboard box could have been empty you can’t touch it it takes half hour to find a key. I’ll take my 6k in business elsewhere. I know it just opened but hire people with some sense. Because they didn’t want to show me a $300 iPad. At the register, I didn’t even need to handle it. Smh

On 07/22/2024, I made an in-store purchase of a LG refrigerator that was displayed in their showroom, a water line, a 5-year warranty, a delivery fee and an installation fee, totaling $2160.70…I paid via credit card. Delivery and installation were to be on 07/27/2024. On 07/26/2024, the store called me and said the refrigerator was on back-order…I explained I bought a frig in the showroom…and they said I would need to drive to the store to sort it out. I drove to the store and spoke to Emrice B (identifying herself as a manager) ….and she told me the refrigerator had been shipped 3 hours north to Orlando, where it would then be shipped 4 hours south to Miami, and then shipped 1 hour north to my house. Emrice told me that the refrigerator had not been received in Orlando and they do not know here refrigerator is right now. I requested a full-refund of $2160. 70….and Emrice said she gave me full credit, and a printed document showing zero totals……and she said the $2160.70 would show up on my credit card in 3 days.
I received only a credit of $2059.71 on my credit card. I still need a refund of $100.99 from the transaction. I have called the store two times and cannot get satisfaction. All I want is the remaining $100.99 still owed as a refund.
