For the first time, I’ve decided to get my phone repaired instead of getting a new one. just a screen repair for a pixel 6 pro.

I then went to a local place (Cell Fix, this store). They charged me 200$ to replace the screen. this is where things go downhill. The phone they gave back to me 2 days later did not work. The screen turned on, but the touch sensor did not work. dang. took it back. dude literally said “it was not charged enough”. …. OK… charged it a bit, and it works. ok fine. Later that night, the screen pops out of of the phone. aww darn. Whatever. Popped it back in from the edges. great. not long after, I start getting phantom touches on the screen (as seen from the debug setting on android). Later, touches stop working from the top quarter of the screen. take it back again. they repair again. The dude would not stop accusing me of dropping the phone since the last visit (I did not), and proceeded to show me 2 pixel screens, told me they were both my screens, pre and post 1st repair. (They were not, both were missing the finger print sensor), and that they were damaged in the same place. I told him that one doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor (clearly missing from the screen), and the dude at the counter would not budge. Charged me another 100$ to replace the screen again, and left.

Later that night, the screen popped off again.

This time I was done dealing with half-way repairs. I went back seeking a refund, which they fought me every inch of the the way to get.

I don’t think I’ll get my phone repaired again. 🙁

I went there recently and noticed that there were new owners. They told me that they could only fix my phone screen and if there were internal damages they wouldn’t be able to fix it, I said I understood because I had previously had my phone cracked the same way with same issue and no problems. The previous owners were able to fix internal damages. I have gotten my phone fixed here multiple times with the previous shop owner and it always took 1hr, this time around they told me that it’ll be done in 15 minutes which was a lot shorter than usual. Once it was fixed my screen was working but I got a notification from apple stating that my screen was not an authentic apple product and I could tell there was something odd with my screen. There are some sections of the top screen that I can not see and the upper left side of my screen was not tightly pushed in so it pushes out and can make my screen glitch out and my video really laggy, I can also hear a clicking sound when I press up there. Additionally, there are moments where my phone screen will glitch out when on certain apps and I would need to completely close out of the app and refresh. I would not recommend this store in the future as the quality has significantly gone down.

Will never go here again. I specifically asked if they were going to use actual apple parts and the man said yes. He was 40 minutes late finishing the phone and when we got it back we noticed a message on the phone that the screen was not a genuine apple part! We went back to the store and when I told the lady that the man had told me he would use all Apple parts, she told me no. This is what they use and no one has complained. Great but I specifically asked if he would be using apple parts and he said yes! Additionally, it was cut roughly around the cameras and there appeared to be tool marks and residue on the phone. The cherry on top is that now the flashlight/flash doesn’t work at all. So now I have to deal with this place again to try to have them fix the flash thing. Do not recommend.
