This is going to be a long post. Short version is that I am out $900 because of CPR Repair.
Took my phone in to get my cracked screen replaced. Phone was functional, but I wanted the cracks gone. The employee was nice and professional. I was told she would be able to make the repair within the work day, it took them multiple days to make the repair. They were busy, I get it, no big deal. This is not the worst part. I go to pick up my phone and the employee hands it to me with the home screen on. After I paid, I notice that my screen was not responding to touch. Completely frozen. Had to wait another day for them to figure out the problem. I go back and talk to the manager who said there was internal damage in the phone that they “discovered” during the screen repair. He said it would take a lot of time and money to fix this damage and I would be better off buying another phone. So they’ve left me with a broken phone and still made me pay $60 for the UNUSABLE screen. Then I went and paid $850 to replace my phone at another store.

The absolute bare minimum they could have done would be to fully refund me the money for both labor and parts. The way I see it, I had a working phone before I went to CPR, and it was handed back to me broken and they should be responsible. Not only this, but the employee attempted to hand me back my phone that I have to assume she knew was not working. This happened some months ago and I don’t usually write bad reviews but the situation still isn’t sitting well with me so I thought I’d give others a warning.

259.00 to fix screen wasted, no warranty. Tiny pin sized issue, not caused by me, appeared a week after their repair. I carried this phone in the case, right next to my other phone and it was never dropped, or injured. Owner said once phone leaves there is no warranty. When the CPR said no warranty and not their problem, I gently clicked my other phone with a ink pen to show that even a pin clicking these phones won’t do that. They were more concerned of me tapping my other phone, than the one they did repair. They said the screens are so sensitive that a little click could break them. They made it clear it wasn’t their problem and no warranty. I just walked out. I don’t want to pointlessly argue. I understand what not our problem means. I went down the road to another company and showed them. They explained the real issue and said it was an issue with the screen used, since it is glued down, and an aftermarket screen. The other company said it was NOT damage from me but a screen fault issue and explained how. They used a screen as an example to show me. They stated it is glued down when replaced, and it’s an issue with the screen, not user caused. They said to go back to CPR and argue. I’m not one to argue anymore. Company wins. Ill just walk away and never return. I’m out 259 dollars and had to buy a new phone.

Very impressed with my recent service – in and out in 15 minutes. I was even more impressed with the treatment that was given to an elderly couple that was in front of me. The technician was patient – allowed the couple to explain their frustration and then he clearly stated what he would do and why it needed done.
