A mixed review on this. The staff were friendly enough and the repair was fast (after having to order the screen; supply chain issues like most places these days).

When I got my phone back, the fingerprint sensor didn’t work. I assumed something didn’t get connected so I took it back, no worries. Things happen and luckily I’m only five minutes from the shop.

Apparently, however, after getting the screen replaced on a Google phone, the fingerprint sensor must be recalibrated. The staff member at the store said this needs to be done from a Windows PC and they only have Apple computers. So, to finish the $250 dollar repair I would need to: go home, put my phone in recovery mode, connect my phone to my computer, and go to a website to follow some steps…

… which didn’t work.

Some Google-fu indicated I needed to download some drivers, possibly install the Android developer software, blah blah blah.

This seems like a lot for ME to have to do. Look, I’m fairly technically proficient but what if I weren’t?

FORTUNATELY, the sister store was willing and able to finish the repair.

So, I’m pretty mixed on this review and how I feel. While things worked out in the end, it was a more rocky road than I think most would expect. As an authorized Google repair shop, I think most would expect that they’d be able to complete the repair fully.

That said, I want to reiterate that the staff were knowledgeable and friendly and short of only hitting the 80% mark on the repair, the sister store came in for the assist.

CPR Hamburg does an amazing job fixing whatever electronics you break at a reasonable price. I’ve had phone batteries, speaker, home button, etc fixed from here and every time it has been a great experience. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable. They were able to fix my phone in about 15 minutes. I would (and have) recommend CPR Hamburg to friends and family that need phone repairs.

Awesome service! When I lost my iPhone, I bought a new one the next day. A week later I found my old iPhone. Spectrum wouldn’t let me trade it in. But James bought my phone at a decent price and made sure all my personnel data was cleared. I highly recommend this locally owned company. It was comforting to talk to him and I was treated well.
