I never write reviews, but my experience here was so bad that I need to warn other people about this place.

I brought it my laptop here on a Saturday due to power issues/suddenly not turning on. I paid the $45 fee and left it there, and I was told they’d call me with updates/when it would be ready. I was never given any estimation or timeline of when to expect to hear back. I called and left a voicemail later that day with no response. 2 days later I tried calling again (no answer), so I came in person to be told that they “didn’t have time” to look at it yet at that point. I was again told they would call me with any updates once they were able to look at it. 2 MORE days later I still didn’t hear anything, so I came in again and was told they were not able to fix it in the end, and gave me back my broken laptop.

The same day I got it back from them, upon closer inspection at two much more reputable computer repair shops, I was told that the battery was slowly expanding due to physical damage, which was a potential safety hazard. I saw that the laptop was now visibly bulging, which was NOT an issue before I brought it to CPR. They caused this further damage to my computer.

I can completely understand not being able to fix a broken computer that is beyond repair, but it was the complete lack of communication, professionalism, and fact that they made my computer WORSE than before I left it with them (and did not admit this to me) that prompted me to write this review. The places where I brought my laptop to following CPR reiterated that they have had multiple complaints from people who have brought their electronics to CPR only for them to end up at their shops.

Save your time, money, and mental sanity and do not go here.

I have a few things to say. A few weeks back I broke the glass back of my iphone 12 pro max and decided to take it to CPR because they told me when I called it would be around $80-100 to fix. I had serve issues with my service as you can read in my post below. Not even two weeks later I dropped my phone on CARPET and my glass back completely shattered.

I decided to take my phone to “Broke As Phone” instead because I wanted my phone fixed right. They fixed my phone correctly and showed me how CPR used $7 glass to “fix” my $1100 phone. They caused damage to my battery from their service. Instead of fixing my phone by replacing the whole back, they just used a tool to “chip away” at the glass to remove it so they wouldn’t have to replace the whole back of my phone. In the photos below you can see the indents of the tool. Once the glass was removed, they just glued it back on causing it to leak through to my battery and the wireless charging on my phone.

I was mad at my service at CPR, however, after learning this information I am livid. This is absolutely disgusting and this place should be shut down. I am so lucky that Broke As Phone was able to fix my phone the CORRECT way while using apple certified glass (which CPR claimed was not possible due to copyright issue. It’s not copyright if you get the product directly from the source). On top of all this, Broke As Phone charged me to same price as I paid prior at CPR “the supposed cheaper option”.

This place is more of a scam ring than a repair shop. Had my Samsung s22 ultra screen replaced there. After paying over $200, my screen was replaced but I got many more issues out of it. If the phone is shaken, dropped, picked up from a table, it will shut off and restart. Also it will now show that the phone has cellular signal but will say no network connection and will not allow calls, texts, data browsing, etc. I have tried to call over 5 times and never get an answer. I have left 3 voice-mails and never gotten a single call back. Consider this place a scam or a theft ring. My phone never had restart or network issues prior to them touching it and they will not or have not made any effort to make it right. This phone cost over 1k new and all they did was install a new screen and turn the phone into a paperweight. Run, look elsewhere. Whatever you do, DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO FIX YOUR DEVICE. If they even called back or tried to make it right I may give them 2 stars, but so far, nothing.
