I recently had a highly disappointing experience at CPR. I brought in my phone for what I assumed would be a straightforward repair, only to be met with a shocking and invasive demand: they insisted on having my passcode to complete the service. When I inquired why this was necessary, they offered no satisfactory explanation, leaving me extremely concerned about the security of my personal information. Am I supposed to believe that the honor system is the only thing keeping them from popping into my password list and copying a few down.

In today’s digital age, where our phones store sensitive data like banking details, passwords, and private messages, it’s unacceptable for a repair shop to demand access to this information without a clear, justifiable reason. It felt like an egregious invasion of privacy, and their lack of transparency only deepened my mistrust.

I suggested that they could perform the repair without needing my passcode, but they were adamant. This left me with no choice but to decline their service, as I simply couldn’t trust that my data would remain secure in their hands. It’s incredibly frustrating that a business would prioritize their convenience over customer privacy.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this shop for phone repairs to think twice. Until they revise their policies to respect customers’ privacy and provide clear explanations for their actions, I cannot recommend their services. In my opinion, a company that disregards the importance of safeguarding personal information is not worthy of my business or yours.

T-mobile was unable and couldn’t turn on my wife’s phone, which she dropped and cracked the charging port (I had the insurance $99.) , needed missing data (gallery and Misc. Info) and needed to wipe the phone clean, which I thought was the most important thing that needed to be done. T-mobile recommended CPR Phone repair in Orland park? HUH. We took it to CPR and they were in 5min. It took about 1.5hrs to complete Copy/wipe $55. I’m glad I got the insurance! It was ironic that CPR Phone repair has the same name as the insurance carrier posted below company emblem, Whaaat! PS. CPR did do a Great Job at retrieving what I needed,we were stressed and now we’re Happy somewhat. Don’t drop your phone!

Very helpful service. Honestly went somewhere else first and they didn’t even want to open my laptop up before just telling me a ridiculous price and how it probably wasn’t worth fixing. This place looked at it, told me what the issue was and gave me a quote that ended up being more than what I paid after the repair was done. Appreciated how transparent they were throughout the full experience.
