My laptop wouldn’t boot up so I took it to DA Computers. I chose DA because of good reviews and I know they’ve been there for many years. Diagnosis showed the internal fan had failed and the motherboard and other stuff inside were “cooked.” I’m not an expert with this stuff and Dan clearly explained all my options, including pricing. I chose a new computer and I appreciate that Dan spent as much time as I needed to fully understand the process of the data transfer. He also helped with some software issues I had on the old laptop. This education was way, way, above what I would expect from a “big box” store, and I left with my new laptop ready to use. The pricing was fair and the service was excellent. I’m fully confident that if I have any further issues, hardware or software, that I’ll be taken care of in the same professional, friendly manner. I highly recommend DA Computers.

Unfortunately had a really bad experience here. They have a sign saying that there is 5 day diagnostics and i called on the 6th day and he said they hadn’t started or it wasn’t ready and said he’d call later, he then called when his store closed at 7pm to let me know what was wrong and they said 3 things that i can do myself which is change out 3 parts parts and they wanted to charge around 100 per part installed because they wanted $300 and worst part is they said my cpu cooler was bad i had tried 2 already and this one was new out the box when i brought it in. I wanted to do local place but they really failed. They dont tell you the diagnostic can be more than 5 days and they dont tell you that they will have to charge more after the diagnostic until its to late.

I brought my laptop in because it appeared to crash when I did a live update from Norton. i explained this to them and they said it was likely a hard drive issue and that they would need $65.00 to diagnose it. A week later they got back to me and said it would cost $638.00 to fix the issue and that i could lose a few files and would have to re-install windows.
For whatever reason i decided to take the laptop back and bring it home to Canada where i would get a friend of mind to take a look at it.
Half an hour later it was fixed and back in my hands.
Just sayin’.
