They worked with one of my remote customers who called to have me take a look at their quote before agreeing to anything. They wanted $500+ to install a larger SSD in an older Macbook Air, the computer is only worth about $300 on the used market. The 512GB SSD they quoted was $65 and takes about 5 minutes to install. I questioned what the other ~$430 was for, they said it was for restoring the data using time-machine. This is a process you start and walk away from for a few hours. Seems a little ridiculous. They claimed it was a flat fee, not hourly, which makes it even more insane. I ordered a drive twice as large as what they quoted for $100. I think the labor rate here is quite high, closer to what you’d expect on an in-home service call. For a walk-in bench repair these guys are outrageous.

Very thorough and professional. I brought in an older laptop They advised my money would be best spent on purchasing a new unit as roughly the same cost for them to repair, and laptop was well past expected life usage. High integrity and will definitely use Fairhope PC for any future needs.
