Decided to shop around, found this shop and the reviews were promising so I went by. Tony took a look, knew the problem, and told me he could fix it right away. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware they were cash only – but he said he’d take care of it and I could come back. Took me 10 mins to drive across the street to the ATM inside H-E-B and back. When I came back, another customer came in and I heard their interaction – he recently fixed something but the console stopped working. Tony was extremely professional, apologized for the inconvenience, and advised him to bring the unit back in so they could look at it together. “The worst thing for us is someone having to come back in” – the customer was pleased, and I was reassured just overhearing their company mindset. Anyway, this gentleman left, and I stepped up – my unit was fixed already! Some internal spring came loose when it fell, apparently this is pretty common. Hooray! He also told me to come back if it starts to act up again. Easiest $60 I ever spent. Seems like they know what they’re doing. For sure recommend.
I brought my ps2 in because it would not read blue disc. He said the first day that he would call me and let me know when it was ready. I did not here from him for 3 days. I called multiple times but never answered.
He was quick to text which was nice.
About 2 weeks went by and I was able to pick it up! He said it worked over a text message but when I tested it out, the green and blue lights on the front wouldn’t even turn on.
He told me that because I was a teacher that he wasn’t going to charge me when I picked it up which I thought was nice, but I think he knew it was broken.
I texted him the day of and told him that it wasn’t coming on and got no response. I texted him the next morning with the same message about it not working and no response again.
I went from having a working ps2 that I paid $100 for from a friend to having a broken, useless ps2.
I had high hopes from this place but was let down extremely. I Unfortunately have to say that I would not recommend this place due to this horrible experience.
After walking out of their I felt confident they did everything that could be done and had I gone somewhere else I would have had to pay $100 bucks for nothing.
I’ll definitely be returning if I ever need anything else serviced.
