Three out of five stars for quick and functional work, but with inflexible customer service and shortcuts taken in servicing your hardware that doesn’t measure up to the price.

Like most customer service issues, the problem is usually not the initial issue, but the reaction to it. I brought my joycons in with a custom shell replacement to have installed. The turnaround was pretty quick, less than 24 hours. The price seemed appropriate at the time. However, the directional buttons were arranged differently. I fully admit outright this is small, and simply cosmetic – but I had supplied my own parts and paid decent money to have the customizations installed. I addressed it at pickup, hoping I could leave it there for another day to be fixed. The real issue came when the technician told me that the buttons could only fit (and operate) in that particular array. Even after I showed him pictures of the disassembled parts button pieces, to demonstrate they all can easily interchangeably rotate, the technician again dismissed it as inaccurate suggested I take any issue up with the manufacturer. I felt like I was being waived out of the store.

I took it home, and fixed it myself. There was no issue whatsoever rearranging it. Alarmingly, I discovered several screws had not been replaced inside the controller. I am grateful the shell kit I ordered came with extras, and I was able to replace them myself. Disassembly was a little time consuming, which is why I originally paid to have someone else do it. But moving the two buttons around was simple, so either the technician genuinely did not believe you could rotate the buttons to fit in the various slots, or he did not want to spend the time and effort that I eventually had to. I was originally happy with the price, but was disappointed first when I had to spend more time on top of the cost of the service, and again when I discovered missing screws. I could have done the full replacement myself – but preferred to hire it out. Given everything I have described, I do not believe I got the value I paid for. Pictures included to demonstrate that yes, rearranging the buttons was possible.

it’s unfortunate and with distaste but as much as i like to post positive the need to call it as i see it and my BS Meyer getting pegged needs shared..

So after 2 weeks my screen begins flickering then nothing to see but what looks to be slightly flickering and no viewable screen.
I take it in it is a Friday am told it will be fixed under warranty but it will be Monday before they have correct screen, I leave phone and tell them thanks….

Next day get a call from someone at Gamers Warehouse telling me the company will not warranty my screen if I pay $159.00 they will try to have fixed Monday.
So I ask which company will not honor warranty as whoever is on phone with me I’d what I would call sketchy. I finally get the company that screen came from.
I smell bullshit and I ask so you spoke with China on a Saturday, just get repeated if I pay 159.00 it will get fixed, by now I’m pissed so I mention that if I mess up with something I have no problem accepting it, taking a loss or however something is going to play out, but when after 2 weeks it just dies that’s not acceptable.
If I pay 159.00 and I quits working in 2 weeks again am I going to repeat this?
For less than 300 bucks I can by refurbished with warranty actually closer to 200 and can purchase new for x 3 what I was charged.
I told him I will come down to store I live 45 miles away and that’s one way.

After 5 different attempts to contact it’s either management or owner all I get is no response.
This will go with all info, notes ect to small claims court I’m raising grandchildren X 3 and on occasion when doing business it will come down to court to get paid. And the kids need to see hiw this works
I try to support independently owner business all I can but this is crap.

Quick service, polite, fair price. Everything I was told happened on time with complete replacement of my phone screen, Galaxy S20

So I DO love this place,but it’s predominantly the arcade in the back that me and my son love frequenting. They have a fantastic collection of classic arcade cabs and the vibe is totally 90s arcade with the florescent carpet. That’s the back of the house however. The front store is where the affection falters. A tad bit steep on prices namely a CIB copy of Spyro 2 Riptos Rage being about triple the price you can find it ANYWHERE. That’s just one example Gamecube games will make you light headed. They’re in the mall so I’m sure that’s the reason but it’s DK oldies prices. I really do like being in there adding stuff to my “wish list”
