I have never met a group of people more rude. That is the most direct reason for the review.

The second is their system for appointments is a joke. When I made my appointment online, I had to correct the website three different times as it kept trying to book the appointment in Seattle, though we live in Idaho. Finally, I was told by the “success page” I had booked it for a Friday at 10:40 AM.

When I arrived at the store to check in, I didn’t get, “oh, dear, we might have a problem.” The man behind the counter said “I got two guys telling me the have 10:40, what’s your name?” “Nope, not in my system, you must have made it at another store.”

He didn’t even try to find a solution. He didn’t say, “man, that’s frustrating”, he didn’t say, “let me help this gentleman and see if we can fit you in somehow.”

Were this isolated, that would be one thing, but it’s not. With two notable exceptions, the entire Coeur d’Alene store is dismissive and rude. As a result, I never enter another Best Buy. I will never buy from them online. So, the $10,000 I spent there in the last 18 months goes elsewhere.

I called and made an appointment with them. The person who answered the phone asked me my address and set up an appointment for the following day and stated someone would be here. I had to call 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment because nobody showed up. The person answering the phone said my appointment was in-store. I explained to him that I was told someone would be here and I was asked what my address was. He continued to talk over me and I asked him to please let me talk…he never stopped talking and I quote “I am done with you” and hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional so I will never recommend their services to anyone. Needless to say I went to another computer service store.

They’re pretty bad. I bought a computer from Best Buy, it turned out to be a piece… Anyway, I had Geek Squad fix it a few times (replaced hard drive and other similar things). Well the screen went black (ended being the motherboard and couldn’t be fixed) on me and so I took it in to have them look at it. I have 24/7 tech support and it wasn’t covered?! I bout the most expensive insurance package they had! The different insurance packages are VERY confusing to understand what is covered and what is not. I wouldn’t go with them, especially considering how expensive the packages are.
