Bought a new gaming PC because my old one died. Got a data transfer as well to transfer all my school documents to the new one. Data transfer took longer than what the guy promised due to my old computer being difficult for them to open. They did not update the online tracker, leaving me clueless as to how long it would take to complete. I go to school 2 hours away from the store, so I had to go in the middle of the school week to pick it up even though they promised it would be done by Sunday. Once I finally picked the computer up and brought it all the way back to school, I sadly did not find my power cable in the box. Whoever worked on the PC somehow forgot to put back my cable in the box. Had to have a friend go pick it up since they were headed my way the next day. Once I was finally able to power the PC on, I noticed I could not use my mouse and realized that the USB bluetooth receiver for the mouse was missing from the computer. Why would they even remove it when there’s literally 6 other USB ports to use. Now I am stuck waiting on the phone with geek squad waiting for them to help resolve this. Do NOT go through geek squad Elk Grove if you have any issues with any of your electronics. It is not worth it.
Scheduled TV repair 3wks ago via internet, recieved several confirmation notifications. Day of service apt scheduled 8-12. No call no show. Contacted geek squad by phone @ 12:15 for eta, was told would recieve call back from operator, never did. Contacted geek squad online help @1pm, they directed me to call 800#. Called 800# to be told he’s 15 mins out at 1:10. No show, called geek squad again at 3:30 spoke to dispatch they confirm unable to reach tech. I requested 1st stop tomorrow morning they told me no they don’t have that ability, but have an afternoon apt tomorrow. Not going to waste another day. Not worth the headache, they were useless. I was trying to fix my disabled veteran’s tv as a valentines day gift. Do not use their TV tech services they have no control over their technicians nor do they care about their customers.
I walked into Best Buy needing to buy a laptop. I had no idea what I wanted/needed. In fact, I was quite anxious! I have been using a Gateway that is at minimum 13 years old. I told Andrew (manager) what I wanted to spend and he directed me to a laptop that would suit my needs. I also had the Geek Squad install office. They did it while I waited–on a Saturday! It took about 15 minutes, and then I was on my way. I was a little worried I would get home and not be able to do anything on my new purchase, but it is so easy to use. I bought a Surface Pro, and so far, so good! Thank you to everyone who made my experience great!
