I was having battery issues with my laptop and did not have the correct screwdriver to open up my laptop to access the battery, so I ask if they can reset my battery for me, which is a very simple process. They go on and tell me they will not reset the battery because their manager told them not to, and that it will cost $100 to DIAGNOSE the problem that will take 4 to 5 days to do, and try to sell me a $200 tech support plan on top of that. I immediately go to Harbor Freight to buy a fancy screwdriver set for $6, reset my battery myself in 3 min, and it works just fine. Either they had no idea what was going on, or they were trying to scam me. I have gone to other geek squads in the past, and they reset my battery free of charge. All you do is unplug the battery and hold the power button down for like 30 seconds.
Honestly, the workers there were fine and polite, but their manager seemed like he wanted my money rather than helping resolve my simple problem.
Took my girlfriends new iPhone to get the glass repaired. The phone is less than 6 months old, I watched it being taken out of the new packaging at the time of purchase. Brought it to Best Buy (an authorized) iPhone repair location. They called 30 minutes later to tell her there was a security screw stripped, and they could not make the repair.
When we got back to the store, I asked them how the screw was stripped.
They said they couldn’t speculate how it happened. Then I confronted them by saying it is a new phone and screws do not come stripped from the factory.
They denied any involvement and wanted to order a new phone from Apple with $100.00 additional cost to us.
I told them that since they had stripped it, we shouldn’t have to pay anything. They completely ignored me and charged her anyway.
Unbelievable! They couldn’t even admit they made the mistake or try to rectify the situation by offering no charge to us..
Terrible customer service!

Geek Squad came out to my house twice and were unable to fix my problem. I had a “special agent” tell me they would email the company who installed my wiring for trouble shooting. He never did this and then his voicemail was full when I called him a couple of weeks later for follow-up. No notes were typed into the system for records of the problem. The Geek Squad then told me they would do a free visit with a wiring specialist to fix the problem and scheduled a free visit. I then had this “special agent” give me a call a month later to tell me I wouldn’t be getting a free visit and nothing would be done to trouble shoot my wiring. This worker also lied to his boss about promising to help me trouble shoot. Worst customer service possible.
