Brought iPhone 12 Pro max in for a screen replacement and after the screen was replaced message on phone let me know the screen that was installed was not compatible with my phone. It was not a complete installation and now I am having trouble with facial recognition and fingerprint. The resolution is dull and nothing like it was before. I tried to get my old screen back and refund but was informed that I would still be charged 50 dollars. I asked for screen to be replaced with Apple products and the shop put aftermarket screen on instead. I would never have got this fixed with degraded parts. If you want your phone fixed right then let Apple fix it. Very bad experience with the way things were done.
Most businesses like this would relay mainly on selling reconditioned and / or updated devices, they are only doing repairs that are more expensive than the broken device itself (not their fault if this is what the spare parts cost) and a small selection of new devices, most of which your service provider may give you for less. Nothing wrong on their part, it is just the structure of the market that tends to kill small businesses and shift everything to the (already outrageously overpriced) oligopolies. They absolutely deserve the support of the community, but they have to find ways to support the community first.
i wish I could give it a 0. customer service was good but I got this screen a week ago. i did NOT drop it and the screen just popped off. it didn’t crack, it literally just fell off my phone. extremely upset with this, especially considering the fact that I had to pop it back in myself.
Update: now my phone is overheating and constantly going to a black loading screen for like 5 mins, that flashes on and off, wont let me on it, and just hardly works. I’m super mad.
Update; I had to buy a completely new phone. So if you wanna refund me, feel free to. Otherwise you can’t fix that and this review is staying
