I recently took my desktop computer in for some much needed repairs. It had been running slow for a couple of years. I also needed to update my windows operating system, as it was no longer going to be supported. I was told my computer would be ready the same day. I was a bit more realistic and thought maybe the next day. It was in the shop for 2 weeks. I would call every few days just to get an update being that I got no communication from them. I was informed my hard drive would stop in the middle of transferring data. Ok cool no problem still days go by no call. Finally I get irritated and make a call I’m ready to just come pick up my computer. After speaking with one of the guys that work there I decided to chill and let them finish. Finally I receive a call stating my computer is ready. I got and pick it up get it home and reconnect it. Try to get connected to my wifi no wifi drivers connected, I make a call speak with Brian and tell him the problem he said to bring it back so he could update those drivers so I unplug everything and race around to the shop and he’s gone. Really irritated now the other fella there informs me that I have to leave it. Not happy at all. Finally I receive another call the next day saying that it’s ready. Go and pick it up reconnect it and then I receive a message stating that windows has to be activated and I need a product key to activate it. So I call the shop speak with Brian and he informs me that I could purchase a product key online. I feel that since he installed the windows update and charged me for it that he should provide the product key. Well I ended up buying one online so that I would not have to deal with them anymore. So my 2 star review could have been worse. Bottom line is they will never get my business again.

Took in a laptop to get the screen fixed as the screen was damaged by the way it was held. It took about a week for the parts to get there and for them to fix it. I get a call that it is fixed and I can take it, I bring it back and the screen flickers and the screen is not flush with the border around it. I take it back and explain to them, they state that they will fix it. I get a call and they claim its a cable issue that connects from the motherboard to the screen itself. They order the cable and install it, then I get a call back stating that the cable they purchased was faulty and needed to order a new one. After waiting another 2 weeks, I get a call that the computer screen will not turn on and that they believe that the issue is the graphics card and that it was damaged. How does the graphics card get damaged when all you are doing is replacing a cable and screen?! The graphics card being damaged was a red flag given that the laptop was about a month old. I should have read the reviews before taking the laptop there. I decided to pick up the computer and not throw money away with this company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going here. You are better off doing the repairs yourself.

I got a call the other night from my granddaughter crying the her screen on her iPad was cracked. I told her not to worry as I know a tremendous place to take it to get the screen replaced. Of course I am talking about Manteca Computer Services & Cell Phone Repair. I took it in at 10:00 in the morning and within 24 hours I received a call from them informing me that the iPad screen was replaced. I have had other computer repairs done at this store and each time the service and repair were excellent. My granddaughter is happy and she thinks grandpa can get anything done. I would highly recommend Manteca Computer Services & Cell Phone Repair. A side note their repair cost was much cheaper than what Apple would charge and you didn’t need a genius bar appointment -no wait.
