Apple support set me up with an appointment at Mobile Kangaroo, a place that sounds like a gas station to the point even the Apple support tech said, “I promise it’s not a gas station.” My one star is not because I didn’t get the outcome I’d hoped for. I am a tech-saavy, longtime Mac user who works in a related field. I was hoping for a solution or recommendation for a data recovery specialist in order to not lose some work on a new machine that was malfunctioning and erroneously locked me out; even Apple tech support at their supervisor level recommended these options and was hopeful. When I showed up, the guy at Mobile Kangaroo was exceptionally condescending and hateful. I told him clearly I would not erase my hard drive without exhausting my options but he went all the way to the point of nearly doing that while I told him to stop. He didn’t even attempt to have me begin startup, reboot my system, or investigate in ANY WAY. He viewed my password hint without my consent. I asked the questions Apple told me to ask, and he laughed at me. He also me to connect my laptop to the world’s most powerful supercomputer and let it sit for 30 years if I wanted a solution. This was the biggest waste of time of my life; even if the outcome was the same and he couldn’t do anything, that would have been fine if he had 1. Made ANY attempt to at least go through the steps to make sure Apple support didn’t miss something and 2. Not been a complete and total jerk with horrific customer experience.

Don’t go there. Get in your car and drive to Alpharetta (north of Atlanta) to the closest Apple Store and get help elsewhere. I seriously can’t believe he didn’t even try to look at my computer or go through ANY diagnostic steps to at least complete his due diligence. He kept saying he was “triple booked” and busy, which is not an excuse. (When I made my appointment, they said nearly the entire day was open and I could choose literally any time slot.)

Seriously, don’t give them your business. Find somewhere else.

Joel made sure that my problem was resolved with my iPhone, which had all kinds of problems with it. If you will give him an opportunity to figure out what’s going on with your phone without interrupting his thought process, and present one issue at a time, you will get better results. Keep working with him on what’s going on with your phone! The persistence paid off for me! I left the phone and came back while it was syncing, and he kept in touch to let me know what was going on with the phone. If you leave, you will need to sign a standard waiver in regards to your phone. He is my new Apple guy. I was pleased with the service and would confidently recommend him because he sincerely wanted to fix my phone. I also have a Samsung phone, and I asked him to help me make the fonts larger. He helped me with this, and didn’t have to. The business is conveniently located in the Eastgate Town Center Mail, Entrance D.

Finding Mobile Kangaroo can be a bit tricky, as it is tucked away inside the East Gate shopping center rather than the main strip area.

Their team delivered exceptional results in repairing the shattered back of my iPhone 13 Pro, restoring it to perfect condition. However, my experience with Joel left something to be desired. Though the outcome was satisfactory, his demeanor came across as somewhat condescending–though it could be attributed to his personality. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

Nonetheless, we don’t have an official Apple store in Chattanooga, so it’s great to have an authorized Apple Service Provider nearby. Their prompt and dependable service is appreciated, and you can count on their team to deliver high-quality results.
