Took my PC here for repairs several months ago and I am still dealing with the fallout. I was having trouble with my Windows crashing so I took it into Novato Computer Service, thinking it was a reputable local establishment. Boy was I wrong.

First of all, the owner held onto my computer for over a month. Each week, he would call me telling me another component was fried and needed to be repaired. Fine, I thought, and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

So over a month later, I brought home wad was basically a new computer with a $1,500 repair bill. Well, guess what? Windows continued to crash regularly. Even worse, he installed a bunch of extra programs I don’t need and customized windows to the extent that I can’t even install updates or repair it.

In the end, I had to completely wipe my computer, reinstall windows and spend hours undoing the mess he created.

Do not trust this place. There are other better and actually more affordable options.

Could not be more pleased with Novato Computer Service. My hard drive on my PC conked out and Bill upgraded to new hard drive. He also uncovered 58 infections via virus scan, 2 of which were malware. He removed all the infections, changed default browser to most secure browser, installed 3 new security programs and installed all current Windows updates. Bill also provided instructions for weekly malware and spyware prevention checks.

A reliable computer repair source is not something that I already had in case of the circumstances I experienced. I was fortunate in that my first stop was Novato Computer Service. I cannot be more pleased with service, expertise and advice I experienced.

Bill worked on my computer that had randomly shut down, he identified the problem quickly and also made some great recommendations on how to improve performance. He switched everything out for me, my rig has never been faster. Thank you Bill, will definitely be back with any computer issues in the future.
