IN SUMMARY: Owner lied about the issue saying It didn’t happen right after he worked on it, started pinning the blame on me, handled the issue poorly, and is charging me again if I wanted to take it to him.
Very sad to have to write this because I had originally wrote a 5 star review. I paid to have a new battery installed and once completed, I Immediately started facing issues (battery related) that I have never faced before taking it to him. Computer shutting off randomly while browsing or playing games, blue screen, restarting randomly, the whole 9 yards, and the business handled it very professionally at FIRST (will be important later) and they were willing to take it back to try to find the issue.
I sent the owner plenty videos & photos of proof of this happening after he worked on it and the owner or who ever was working my laptop just said the battery and everything was fine and they couldn’t replicate the issue. (I wish they would’ve looked further into the issue because this is where it starts leading into serious problems later) So I got the laptop back and it was fine for a few weeks, and I had just built a computer so I wasn’t really using my laptop as much. It was just sitting on my desk for 3-4 months, occasionally being used for accessing files I had on there or reading emails etc.
THEN fast forward 3.5-4 months after the repair, the battery gets stuck at 0% AND gets super HOT when plugged in. Like I can’t even rest it on my lap because how hot the area would get literally within 1-2 mins of being plugged in. Here’s where it gets even worse, I contact the owner about the issue and he immediately starts to pin the blame on me, saying it’s policy and that I’d have to pay the $50 diagnostic fee again NOTE: I already paid over $300 for the original battery installation, new thermal paste and fans. We then go back and forth and he says I quote “The issue did not start immediately after the repair was completed period” I’m actually blown away because despite the video and photo proof I sent him in messages showing the issues started immediately after the repair and have never happened before it he just denied it.
I even told the owner that I have NO problem paying if it isn’t a battery related issue, because the issue I have is I mentioned the battery issues right after the installation numerous times (randomly crashing, blue screen that I never had before, etc) and he just shrugged it off and said they were fine when he tested them. Does it make sense to charge the customer again if the customer had previously mentioned that the battery was having issues after your installation?
In person, he is trustworthy and genuine. What stood out the most was Behrouz’s dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction. He took the time to explain the repair process, answering all my questions with patience and expertise. Behrouz’s friendly and approachable nature made the entire experience surprisingly pleasant, especially considering the inconvenience of dealing with a broken screen.
