Took my PC in to find out why the sound crapped out on me. Everyone at the shop was great, very friendly, knowledgeable & asked me to explain what was going on. It didn’t take long & they found out it was actually my SPEAKERS which had took a dirt nap. BUT, while they had the PC they gave me a suggestion to upgrade my memory for better performance. I had asked them to look at the sound card, and to also check & see why the computer was acting sluggish recently. They had the available memory on hand & at great price. I had them install it. When I went to pick up my PC they wanted to show me that it was operating correctly before I left. I really like that. Well…. in that process they couldn’t get it to boot, or something to that effect. Now nervous, they put my mind to ease & said they would look into this & get it working. They called me & said they had fixed it & it was just some weird think with my video card that it wouldn’t boot when connected to a TV. Its an older PC, I get it. But what was great is that they (obviously ) didn’t charge me anymore than what they had quoted me. IE, these are stand up people. They did me right & the PC is working today & actually performing better than when I took it to them.

Buyer beware! I was looking for a new mid-cost laptop to handle my small business video downloading/editing. They suggested and sold me an ACER Aspire 5 laptop with Windows 11, but an outdated Intel iRisxe graphics card for $600. I noticed the white keys have little contrast to the keyboard itself so they’re tough to see. Then, Windows 11 blocks downloading Google based software. Then it wouldn’t charge anymore because the small single pin charger somehow broke the charging port. It cost me another $118 to fix it. The clerk admitted these are all common problems with this laptop, but PCTech2U only backs its products for 30 days and the warranty expires in one year. I tried to shop local, but now I have to sell this laptop and go back to Best Buy. PCTech2U offered me nothing but an inferior laptop that didn’t meet my needs.

These guys are amazing. About two years ago they installed new m.2 drives and a new power supply to my computer and did a wonderful job. I am now currently having a software issue, and the second I walked in the door to drop it off, someone was there to greet me and was very attentive to the issues I am having. I tried fixing the issue myself with no luck, but I know my pc is in good hands now. Very personal, knowledgeable, and professional staff. I can’t wait to get my pc back because I know they will do a great job and it will run better than ever. Thank you guys for being the best pc repair shop in Rockford!
