I took my laptop in with a broken charging port, and the replacement port for the repair. They held my computer for 3 weeks. I was given a reason as to why it was taking so long, a technician was “out sick” so I waited more. After another week of waiting I was told that my motherboard was bad and needed to be replaced and that the replacement cost would be “several hundreds of dollars” to do it and an enormous waiting time. They said they replaced the charging port and I picked it up after the “repairs”. After examining the laptop, the original broken laptop charging port was still soldered to my motherboard and the replacement part was still in the sealed unopened bag. After confronting them about it, I was told the original technician who started work on my laptop had “walked out” and they had to pick up after him. I was refunded and hour of “misc services” and still charged $50.
This business is not even close to being professional, they lie and decieve you and try to convince people they need drastic and expensive repairs without even doing anything to repair the problem in the first place.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible experience with this predatory company.

Absolutely horrible business practices with this place. We had an issue with our laptop charging, we were given an uncertain diagnosis with a recommendation for a new battery. Upon ordering the battery and going back in to have the work done they said they sent the battery back and wouldn’t offer a refund for the deposit. Their justification was that they got the IMPRESSION we didn’t want the replacement after being told an entirely different diagnosis over a week after the original. We did not tell them to cancel the order, and were also told the battery never got delivered. 2 separate answers for why they literally stole our money. Hopefully the credit card company can get us our refund. Don’t even waste your time here let alone your money.
Was a Red Dot Wireless customer for a long time it’s a nice simple cheap (~$42/mo) phone plan.
My family and I have had trouble reaching Radioactive/Red Dot over the phone lately. For example, I called on a Monday at 4pm, within their open hours, no one picked up and no one attempted to call me back the next day after I left voicemails.
When I finally tried to leave Red Dot for another provider because of the lack of the customer service, the process was painstaking.
I once highly recommended Radioactive & Red Dot Wireless, but the lack of quality customer service drove me away.
