I came to the repair shop for a bad charging port. He used a multimeter incorrectly and convinced myself the issue was a bad charge cable. I paid 80 dollars after he held the laptop for a few days. I don’t know if he did any more tests. The charging cables were another 80 dollars on Amazon and I had to go through three before I was sure the issue wasn’t the cables. The owner didn’t answer back my text when I let him know my pc was still having problems.

This owner also tried to sell me services that I’ve learned aren’t helpful or necessary while he was charging me so much for doing nothing. This whole thing set me back months and sure enough when I went to another business, the issue was a bad charging port.

I can’t say for sure it was deliberate scamming but this person didn’t know how to use a multimeter, telling me the readings need to be completely exact to the advised reading. He decided my charge cable was broken for a .2 difference between it and the power need. Any manual or DIY video from people and businesses mention that there’s always a loose variance of readings because the current isn’t going to be constant or exact.

To find the office, walk through the auto sound shop into the back. Don’t let the “dorm room” look of the office turn you off. There are plenty of other PC repair shops in town to choose from that have expensive looking office space and furniture. You come here for only one reason and that’s to get your gear repaired. Had an amber light lit on my desktop power button. Brought my system in and by the following morning, the problem was identified and was called back with my options. My system was repaired by the end of that same day and I am back in business. Give them lots of credit for proactively calling to keep me in the loop through the process. They keep their overhead down which translates into reasonable labor costs. Very friendly and professional. Just off Route 84. Highly recommend this repair service!

My puppy knocked my laptop off the counter, I received an error message but it was still working. I brought my laptop in, asked him to take the back off to diagnose with me there (was thinking it was a cooling fan). It ended up being a hinge was broken and plastic pieces had interrupted the fan. He had my laptop for a day and a half, repaired the hinge and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg! I am working from home at the moment so I greatly appreciated the timely manor that this was fixed and the excellent price I was charged! I would recommend Roberto in a heartbeat!
