Review of Shiny Computers in Portsmouth:
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shiny Computers in Portsmouth, a store that specializes in all things MAC. Having been a customer of theirs for over 10 years, I can confidently say that my experience with them has been consistently excellent.

On this particular visit, I brought in three older iMac computers for upgrades and repairs. I had them replace the hard drives with 1TB ones, add an external CD/DVD read/write drive, clean up unnecessary files, and set up an external backup and time machine for efficient file backup. To my surprise, the entire service was priced much lower than I had anticipated.

One of the standout qualities of Shiny Computers is the trust I have in their expertise. As someone who is not particularly knowledgeable about the technical aspects of my computers, I appreciate their willingness to listen to my layman explanations of issues and help me find solutions. They have always treated me fairly and provided me with valuable advice.

I genuinely wonder why more people aren’t aware of Shiny Computers. Perhaps it’s due to a lack of awareness. Hence, I feel compelled to recommend them to others. The staff, particularly Chris and Austin, are incredibly knowledgeable and personable. They not only understand the ins and outs of Mac computers, but they also ensure that the job gets done efficiently.

Whether you need assistance with a Mac computer, iPad, iPhone, or even if you’re in the market for a used computer, Shiny Computers has you covered. I have personally found their selection of used computers to be quite helpful over the years, and they always stand behind the products they sell. Keep in mind that they may not always be available on the phone due to their busy schedule, but don’t let that deter you from visiting their store. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but any other day of the week, they will be more than happy to assist you.

With Christmas right around the corner, I figured I’d better get to shopping. Being a single mom of 3 kids, my budget is a major factor. I stopped in to Shiny Computers tonight to check out their iPads and was pleasantly surprised. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Chris, and we got right to work on finding the right fit for my kids. I left with everything I needed for each of the kids and stayed under my budget. On top of their great prices, they have even greater customer service. You can tell they have a real passion for what they’re doing and it makes a world of difference.

I was having a problem with limited space on my hard drive and had been for almost a year. I spent hours on the phone with Apple despite their inability to solve the problem. One trip to Shiny Computers and Chris nailed it!! He was able to identify and solve the issue. He even gave me instructions that would prohibit problems from reoccurring, including backing up my computer properly. I have nothing but praises for the integrity, knowledge and patience of these employees. Yes, I will always travel from wherever I might be to support, recommend and patronize Shiny Computers.
