Jeffrey told me he would contact me within the following week. I was not contacted until I eventually called in 2 weeks after. I learned that he had trouble taking apart the microphone so I proceeded to instruct him on how to do so. He then stated he would call me the following day. Two days later, I was called by Jeffrey with yet another repair charge of $40 in addition to the $50 “diagnostic fee”. I denied the repair and went to pick up the microphone instead.
Upon arriving to the shop, Jeffrey insisted that this repair could no longer fit inside of the “diagnostic fee”; thus, I essentially paid Jeffrey $50 to take apart the microphone and put it back together. Jeffrey also lost a piece of the microphone and could not locate where he placed it. After attempting to resolve the issue, Jeffrey remained uncooperative and continued to call the Sheriff.
The police arrived and I was then told that I would have to file a civil case to receive compensation for the missing piece. Thanks a lot Jeffrey!
Response to the Owner: Upon my initial pickup, we both acknowledged the missing rubber cover for my microphone; yet, you instructed me to leave by means of a threat to call the sheriff and without any effort to resolve or compensate for my missing property. Pursuing trespass notices on customers you’ve lost property from isn’t a business practice.
You continue to openly display your complete ignorance to the issues and complaints I and many customers before me have stated. Instead of acknowledging your lateness in your service, lack of communication, incompliance, and highly-questionable pricing, you instead belittle the customers’ reviews and claim that “you believe the customer is right until…” so and so. The years of you operating your business is not an excuse for your puerile behavior within and outside of your business (as highlighted within your Facebook reviews).
We got told a 24 hr window for notification of diagnosis. He was prompt and did meet that deadline.
However, he quoted $250 to repair the main board. And if that doesn’t work, he would guess the back lights were bad. And that would be extra $375 starting out.
I looked online at the cost in replacing the TV. It was much much cheaper than paying over $500 to fix it. So I chose not to have it repaired and picked it back up. He did say he can recycle the TV for us. But I chose to pick it up, and dispose of it myself. Maybe see if anyone wants it for parts.
I can’t say if he could repair or couldn’t repair the TV. I can say he was nice, a little uncouth is some of his statements made in jest, but knowledgeable. He even spent the time to go over making sure to show us how to adjust the brightness on your TV, below 100%. So you can increase the longevity of your unit.
*** I just looked at Jeff’s response. Not one word of what he said is true. He never text messaged me, period. I would have saved it if he had. Jeff….if you have a copy of that text message, I would love to see it. You don’t have it, because it doesn’t exist. Your dishonesty in your response, makes me very leery of your “work,” (of which he did charge me $50). When I called you, after not hearing from you for 2 months, you said, “I’m glad you called”, then gave me a line that it’s not repairable. Then, you told me that you would try one more thing, and that you would call by the end of the week. You did call at the end of the week, saying it isn’t repairable. Does any of that sound familiar to you?? That is the “honest” story. I definitely would not do business with him, based on his dishonesty.
