Yes, this was the US 31 location. My mom brought in her phone for a shattered screen. They did okay (there is still some debris in the corner) and had it ready the next day for $90. They told her if she had more issues to be sure to come to them. Her power button was stuck, which she noticed after getting home. I tried to help her to no avail and told her to take it to her phone carrier. Since these people had assured her they could help, she decided to take it to them. A middle-aged man wearing a bandana and glasses fixed it, but removed her SIM card and did not put it back in. She once again realized this later and contacted me (they were closed for the day by then). My phone number was on her account from the first time, and no one called me to say there was an accidentally removed SIM card. I called the next day to say she was heading in and left a voicemail. When she got there, they told her they no longer had her SIM card, but they could order one overnight. When she told me this, I immediately sent her to her phone carrier, who had a SIM card there for her, but they discovered uBreakiFix had also removed the SIM card tray, so we have to fix that issue as well. She has not had a working phone in over a week and I am extremely disappointed this location has hired at least one staff member who would knowingly take advantage of an older woman by purposely taking her SIM card. They will not be receiving our business again and I will be sure to spread the word to others.
They put new glass on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. I can’t tell it was ever damaged. Looks and works perfectly. It did take four or five days for them to get the part in, but it’s a popular phone which means a lot of them get broken, and people with phone insurance get first dibs on parts. I don’t have insurance so I had to wait, but it was worth it. I paid $300 out of pocket but a new phone would have cost around $1,800 (not only would I have had to buy a new phone, I would have had to pay off my current phone). Doc, who runs the front counter, is super nice and a good communicator. When I was in there, a customer was being rude but Doc did not reciprocate at all. He was patient and kind despite her rudeness. I would go back in a heartbeat. Just know you may have to wait a few days for them to get the right part. Not a big deal if you plan ahead for it.
When I dropped my phone off they informed me that they could try putting a new battery in my phone but it may not fix the problem and would still cost me $109. I said it was worth it to me so I signed the receipt. A couple days later I came to pick up my phone which was not able to be saved. I was fully prepared to pay the fee… but he didn’t charge me since they couldn’t fix it. That made my day (it’s been a frustrating experience.) I’ll definitely be back if I have a problem in the future, or anyone in my family
