THE SAGA CONTINUES
I left a 1 star review on the UBIF on Brandon Blvd already, I thought maybe because it was a franchise location that was why I had a bad experience. But no, apparently all UBIF’s are terrible.
I went last weekend (7/27) to drop off my phone for a Samsung Care+ warranty repair. They had to order a part which they said would come in on Tue or Wed and that they would let me know when it came it. On Thursday on my lunch break I called, and they said the parts were there and apologized that no one texted me. Due to my already planned schedule I was unable to come in until Sunday 8/4. Drove through tropical storm weather to get this taken care of. When I came in, the guy I spoke to the week before was there and asked what I needed. I told him I was there to drop off my phone. He started to tell me I needed to submit a repair request or something before he took off my case and saw the sticker on the back, and confusedly asked me if I’d already submitted one. YES DUDE I DID I WAS WITH YOU FOR HALF AN HOUR TALKING ABOUT IT A WEEK BEFORE. I get it, not everyone cares to remember all the customers they serve, but still it annoyed me because we had a whole conversation that day. And he could have looked at my phone to see the repair sticker before starting to tell me he needed me to submit a request… I mentioned how no one let me know on time about the part and the guy ARGUED with me that they sent me a text. Yeah, they sent it on Friday or Saturday, when I’d already called on Thursday to confirm. Not helpful.
So they told me sorry again and that as long as the power didn’t go out they’d have my repair done by 4pm. I called at 3:50 to see if it was done, and they said my repair wasn’t actually through them but Servify or something which wasn’t open on Sunday so they didn’t even touch my phone. (Why are you pretending to be an authorized repair center if you actually aren’t???) So I was without it for NO REASON all day Sunday. I had to pay Toyota for a Wifi Hotspot just so I can use my navigation and stuff on my tablet because of this. He assured me they’d work on my phone FIRST THING on Monday so it would be done for me to pick up ASAP.

I call on my lunch break today at 12:30 so I could make the trek over there, and guess what? They haven’t even started working on my damn phone yet. The guy said he was never told to work on mine first. I asked if it would be done by 5 today, since now I will have to drive through rush hour traffic to get to them after work and I don’t want to make the trek if it won’t be ready, and he said he couldn’t promise anything but that they’d call when it was done. LOL. Yeah right. They’ve never followed through on literally anything they said so far.

I will NEVER use another UBIF again. It would have been faster to ship my phone to Samsung. At this point I’m concerned whether they’re even going to do a good job or not, since they seem extremely unreliable. (There’s a review a little father down that shows screenshots of them accessing his FB and insta and stuff too. Best believe I will be checking as well)

Update – they couldn’t get into my phone so they stopped working on it. I am now without my phone for another day. There’s no record of a call in my log though he said they reached out to tell me. If they knew they would need my passcode to get into my phone. Why didn’t they just ask for it when I dropped off my phone?

This place is a joke. Communication is poor and they don’t have a reliable system in place in term of it. I waited over six weeks fro them to repair my PS5 and got the run around for what seems like the whole time. I was told the item was done and on it’s way back from third party vendor who does that work. Then I get a text alert telling me my device is ready for pick up. Nowhere in any of the recent conversations did they inform me my device as irreparable. When I arrived to pick up my device the I get told about it not being repairable. Apparently they mixed up my device with someone else’s. Do you self a favor a think about doing business with this company. Very unsatisfied and will never do business with them again.

This was not what I expected. I was greeted with a friendly smile and immediately wanted to know what I needed. His name is Alex and he was knowledgeable, and competent for the reason I was there. They took of the problem in a shorter time than he thought, and even, gave my phone a maintenance tune up free of charge. I would definitely recommend “ubreakifix” for phone repair to family and friends.
