6/28/24 Phone has salt water damage which is why the screen initially went bad. Don’t think they wanted to tell me because I stated that if any water or other damage I did not want to spend money to replace the screen. on 3rd visit they showed pic of corrosion. Mysteriously they did not have the pic of first repair to show me the lack of corrosion. Since the screen went bad at the beach this all comes together now. I even paid the non-refundable $40.00 for extensive trouble-shooting, because with no outward damage I KNEW the issue might be water damage. I added a pic of their computer screen showing the corrosion. Once salt water corrodes a phone it will most likely continue to have other issues. Wasted money!
5/22/24: Rec. call from CS, to proceed with 1 yr. warranty at the location. And to contact CS specialist if any issues. Will do this soon & update accordingly.
UPDATE 5/20/24: I received an email notification of the following reply to my review: “Response from the owner 11 hours ago: See bottom of review. –
6/28/24 The owner response on Google Reviews DID NOT LEAD TO ANY FURTHER RESOLUTION.
So now there is a “case” open and I should be contacted within 24 hours about any resolution.
THIS IS BECOMMING TEDIOUS BUT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INFORMATIVE FOR OTHERS TO GIVE INFORMATION IN REAL TIME AS THIS MESS PLAYS OUT.
The reply seems infer that the reviewer can contact someone directly, to get real time resolution. For now that is not the case.
We shall see how this pans out. Google say this is over character limit so it may require a new review for the update. TBC

Carrollwood location: I’ve taken multiple phones for several repairs over the years to this location. A few weeks ago was the 2nd time they’ve blamed face ID not working on a random issue, after their screen replacement. Both times the Face Id worked as it should, until uBreakiFix replaced the screen! Now NO FACE ID, the option in settings is completely grayed out. The first time they said the face id must have been damaged (X). This time it’s well the Face ID probably didn’t work before we repaired it (13). Not a single crack on the front back or sides of the iPhone 13, but the screen wasn’t working, they replaced the screen and the currently it is working but no Face ID. Before agreeing to repair and paying, I was told the ONLY thing they could not test for functionality was cell service because there was not a SIM card installed and everything was functioning.
SO WHY DIDN’T THEY TELL ME THE FACE ID WAS DAMAGED BEFORE I PAID AND TOOK THE PHONE? As soon as I charged and turned it on, it gave warnings that there was an issue with face ID.
This is my adult-child’s phone, so I did not go romping around to test everything, I trusted what they told me –
I REGRET THAT.
One incident, I took them at their word (X), 2nd time I’m seeing a pattern develop (13).
Oh and you may or may not randomly get the adhesive to seal your screen after replacement. In my opinion that is why one drop of water on the X screen ruined it. That’s when I decided to open it up, took out the 2 bottom screws and the screen lifted right off – because it wasn’t sealed at all! I asked someone at this location, if they seal all new screens with adhesive, and I was informed they should be sealed, (described the X repair issue) and was told they cannot always know what every technician is doing all the time. Some do it and some don’t…
Very disappointed in the lack of quality control and accountability. 🙁
Note: the lower left fog on pic of phone screen is due to a screen protector not the screen they installed. I’ve included before and after pics, 1st four are after, the others are all before to document the condition prior to leaving it with them.

I am a senior citizen with shaky hands. I tried to put a matte finish screen protector on my tablet, and ended up with a lot of bubbles. I called to see if they sold and installed screen protectors. Yes, but, they didn’t have the matte finish I wanted. They were willing, however, to install a screen protector that I brought in with my tablet. It was done while I waited. Perfect job. The price was much less than I had expected to pay. The technical skills and flexibility of their customer service policy made this a great experience. I highly recommend this store.
Attentiveness to my issue with an old laptop and concerns regarding personal, professional, and protected data loss were met with exceptional customer service and knowledge!
