So I went googling one day looking for someone or a group of someones that could Micro Solder or handle soldering projects. My wife’s astro a50 base station – wireless headset base station – usb port broke right off the board. I was able to take the board out of the case and see there was no damage to the board it self. I tried… for all of 30 seconds to solder a new port on, but discovered that I did not have the technology or the skill to perform such a repair. I sent the board to these folks and they were able to fix it very quickly. Thank you folks! It works just fine! I might be sending you another one… IE mine soon as its starting to feel loose…. Sadly I didn’t take a photo of the board before putting it back in its case… oppps.

The thing that everyone has to remember is that parts are SMALL. I see reviews on this companies page that don’t make sense. Just this charging port, which is probably on the lesser difficulty ratings then other repairs has pads as small as the tip of a toothpick. The average Joe can’t fix that. Take respect for the craft and ask questions or just buy a new device. Example if your trying to fix a 30 dollar speaker, you might want to just buy a new one. If your trying to fix WHAT was a 400 dollar headset charging station — i will take the chance.

For example, I had a iPhone with a wonky usb port, failing ear speaker (during handheld calls) and a weak battery. They hypothesized that the battery replacement alone might solve all three problems and it totally did!
