I recently had the fans replaced in my laptop, which initially seemed promising. It did take a few weeks for the replacement fan to arrive, but credit where it’s due, they did replace it. Unfortunately, the replacement fan failed after just 1.5 months of use.

Upon returning to the store, I was informed that the issue might lie with the motherboard or other hardware. However, a subsequent visit to another store revealed that the laptop booted up fine and there were no issues with the motherboard, even after testing with different fans and a different hard disk.

Abar Computer insisted on a full business day of testing, and the replacement part would take three weeks to arrive. This prolonged process due to the overseas fan supplier, I understand is outside their control. However, the rude treatment over the phone (being yelled at by one of the guys, named Frank), put me off entirely.

Edit : Received a call from Michael today. Who sent me a partial refund. It is probably the fault of the fan suppliers, they should do more quality checks. This is a reasonable compromise from Michael, and I appreciate his response.
