More trustworthy than the Genius Bar.
I got liquid damage on my Mac (toddler drool!), and my laptop wouldn’t turn on. The genius bar assessment was that they needed to replace the logic board ($1300 or more) and that all my data was lost.
I took it to get a second opinion in another shop, and after 2 days, told me that they couldn’t fix it.
I finally took my mac to Beyond the Box. You have to pay upfront for the assessment ($145), which I found unusual but understandable, and they discount these from the repair costs if they fix the issue.
In the next day my laptop was fixed! They did not charge anything beyond the $145 deposit. They didn’t have to wipe out my computer, so no data was lost. I couldn’t be more satisfied with their work.

Told paying for an “assessment” would give further details of issue and that 2 hours would be spent looking into issues. Less than 20mins after paying and leaving phone at store I was told of significant costs to repair and no answers on how or why issue randomly occurred. Unable to answer questions and on calling later another staff member unable to answer questions.
Edit: have since spoken to Justin who was sincere and explained breakdowns of communication. Honestly feel good about company and him but going elsewhere to prevent negative experiences both ways

Just wanted to give a massive shoutout to Trinity and her team for the incredible customer service! Ran into a bit of a mix-up with my charger, and not only did they sort it out in no time, but they also hooked me up with an even better one than I expected.
It’s not every day you come across someone that genuinely goes above and beyond like this. Big thanks to Trinity and her team for making my day and showing what top-notch service looks like. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for unbeatable customer care.
