purchased an ipad pro after being given wrong information by staff. Fortunately I was able to return the device as I was within the 48 hour “change of mind” period, however I do not believe misleading customers is change of mind and I will be taking it up with the ombudsman.

Furthermore, the staff member (a girl with pink hair) did not adequately explain that the device would be tested and that my in store credit would not be activated until this testing was completed. I now have to return to the store to follow up.

Overall, CEX staff are uninformed on the products they are selling and as a retail worker myself, this level of customer service is abysmal. Your entire staff needs to be retrained.

Bought something after being assured that it could be returned because of a robust 2 year warranty. It turned out that all we are allowed is a “change of mind” which equates to a store credit. I took them up on the credit and got what I believed was a Go Pro 8 and when I took it back after realizing that it wasn’t the product I thought I was buying, the store clerk advised that the 8 was for the sign next to it which was a go pro case. This looks like a fairly clear case of unconscionable confuct. To me the loss is too negligible to bother with fair trading but hopefully this review helps warn young people with less disposable income to be careful.

We purchased a Wii, remotes and video games after we were told the wii is in fantastic condition. We went home and found it flickers and the remotes don’t work. Went to the store to return and left in tears after the Store Manager Steph was extremely rude and harsh, talking ontop of me and acting extremely arrogant refusing to refund the money. I have requested an email address from the store so I can take the situation to Fair Trading and she refused to do that. I have never in my life been spoken to and been treated this poorly. Unlawful action. I demand a full refund.
