Yesterday I enquired about having my 2022 3rd gen iPhone SE’s battery replaced ( I clearly stated model and year), I was told it would cost $79 and it would be replaced with a genuine part. The repair would take 45 minutes so I left my phone and went shopping elsewhere. About 15 min later I happened to walk past the Fone King shop again, the young gentleman at the counter waved at me. He wanted to let me know that “there was a significant difference in model” (read: he told me the wrong price) and the battery would actually cost $139. He told me that they already started the process but wanted to check with me if it was ok to proceed given the new price (almost double). I argued that Apple charges $115 for the same service and he agreed to price match it after checking with his manager. I said it was ok to go ahead since the process had already started (if not I would have just gone to Apple to be honest) I also asked to have my screen protector replaced. Long story short, my iPhone is now warning me that the battery is not recognised (which means the replacement battery is not a genuine part). So I went from $79 for a genuine battery to $139 (reduced to $115) for a non genuine part without being told that this would be the case. On top of this, I got charged $49 for an iPhone 6/7/8 screen protector. While the SE is similar to these older models, the screen protector I got installed doesn’t cover the whole screen and was incredibly overpriced for something designed for a phone that was released 7 years ago. When I tired to argue that this wasn’t right I was told that the screen protector was actually for the iPhone SE and they just had the wrong name on the receipt. I stopped arguing as I had a plane to catch, but I’ve learned my lesson, I’ll just go to the Apple Store next time.

Went into the Miranda store for a new screen protector, and also came out with camera lens proectors, a new case and ornate wrist band.
Cos surely knows his stuff and was a wealth of knowledge being able to suggest accessories which will assist in minimising future wear and tear damage to my Samsung Galaxy S23. He’s a credit to your company.

Got an iPad screen fixed at Miranda cracked again before I even left the shopping centre and there cheap glass repair is cracking on it’s own and refuse to do anything about it don’t repair anything with these people!!!! Dodgy as hell hundreds to fix waste of money go to Apple!
