My AirPods Pro were part of a Apple recall took them to the store as they were the only Apple service agent in Geraldton and was advised there was a $60 fee refundable if Apple cover it, had a phone call the next day and was advised the service technician could not get fault working, I asked if they had used them when taking a phone call and was advised no they had not, that may be the problem and it’s also intermittent, they were also having issues finding the Apple recall after I did show them the website when I dropped off the AirPods , a quick google now and I can still bring it up!
Anyway collected as I was going to perth a couple of weeks later and it was suggested it may be easier to take to Apple Store direct, I asked about the $60 and was advised the person I was taking to was new and someone would come back to me, which never happened even after chasing it up with a phone call.
Went to Apple and AirPods were exchanged under the recall without any issue or payment.
Needless to say I don’t think I’ll be recommending or using them again

I brought my phone in as it was showing signs of a failed battery. After paying $60 for the inspection, the technician told me it would be covered under consumer law. They then called back to tell me they had broken the screen when doing further investigations and they found a non apple screen so it would therefore now not be covered under consumer law warranty. I was told this would cost me $900 minimum to fix it. I had the option to pay that amount or pick it up. He handed me the phone and said “here you go it’s now in worse condition then when you dropped it off”. I had the pleasure of paying $60 for them to ruin the phone further. Poor customer service.

They told me my airpods would be free because they were covered under warranty, then when I got them back they did nothing and apple said it would be free but they charged me $60

EDIT: Me signing the thing was never mentioned that there was terms and conditions, it’s just to confirm its an authorized person dropping it off and putting it down.

As logic it is apple certified they have to stick by apples word saying “Theres no cost for this repair request. Sincerly, Applecare Service”, and I was never told over the phone it would be $60, and I had to pay it to get my airpods back.
