Brought my laptop in for a screen repair. On the 26th of February 2024. I had told Matt that I needed it as soon as possible and was more than willing to pay the $99 for priority service. I was told that if I paid the additional fee I would have my laptop back in 5 – 7 days, otherwise it would take 2 weeks for repair. I got it back on the 11th of March so it inevitably took 2 weeks. Their reasoning was that the first screen that they ordered got damaged in transit and that they had to reorder an additional one. I had asked for a refund on the priority pricing and they said they weren’t willing to do that. This begs the question? Why am I liable for how long their suppliers take if the product was damaged in transit and why did I still pay the priority price? An ethical owner would take accountability for their lagged service and for their suppliers negligence.
In addition, upon receiving my laptop back the screen is presenting a yellow glimmer on the side of the screen (pressure points I assume?), so not even did it take too long, and I was overpriced, the laptop came back faulty as well. The screen was placed incorrectly and they said I would have to bring it in again when I disclosed the matter to them. I would not recommend them. It will take another 2 weeks to fix this issue and I doubt they will provide compensation for this delay, negligence and ultimately poor service.

Lukey PC repairs refused to inspect my damaged hardware for an insurance report without the entire desktop computer being brought in. They couldn’t provide a rationale for why they needed the entire desktop to be brought it after I made it abundantly clear it was only the video card that was damaged. And FWIW the insurer only wanted report on the video card. The rest of the computer was working fine with a separate video card yet they still wanted to look at it because??

Fortunately there are competent computer techs in Bundy as this was no issue for Matt at AMS Computer services who quickly determined my video card to be faulty without the rest of my computer components. He must be pro.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I went to Lukey’s with my devastated 8yr old son, whose iPad had stopped responding to touch. We couldn’t even turn it off. I had done some googling but nothing I tried worked. Literally, 30 seconds in Lukey’s and it was fixed! In the time it took him to ask my son what he was doing on the iPad when it first stopped working, the problem was solved. So much so, that my son and I didn’t even realise he had done anything yet, as we were looking at each other when my son was explaining what happened. He was so kind as to even make it fun for my son by telling him to place his hands on the back of the iPad and say “abracadabra”, then told him to try his passcode! My 8 year olds face lit up and he was exstatic when it worked. Thankyou so much for helping us out, even if it was a simple fix (that I didn’t try because I’d looked up the wrong iPad model on google lol). My son is stoked he will now get to FaceTime his best friend from out of state on his birthday tomorrow!! I recommend this business highly! Professional, friendly and most of all, kind. It would have been so easy for him to roll his eyes at me and get us out the door, instead, he chose to make it a great interaction for us all.
