I previously used SOS for phone repairs both in Tamworth and recently in Armidale when I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. Unfortunately, I didn’t have AppleCare, so I needed a quick fix and went to them. The cost was high but not unexpected, and they completed the repair within an hour. Please note that my Iphone is a 14 Pro Max.

However, after a week or two, a green line appeared on my phone screen, even though I hadn’t dropped it or caused any further damage. I contacted SOS to address this issue, assuming it was related to the initial repair. To my dismay, they informed me it would cost an additional $700 to fix! Moreover, they revealed that the company SOS partners with doesn’t offer a warranty for this kind of repair, a fact I was not made aware of beforehand.

I will not be returning to SOS, as I feel I’ve wasted money and now need to go to Apple for a proper fix. The lack of a warranty for such an expensive repair is unacceptable.

After installing an update on my phone, I could not find a way out of the update and the phone was effectively locked. I took it to Optus who only went through the same routine as myself and could not help further. They sent me to SOS phone repairs who with 3 clicks got my phone back to normal for me. I was extremely relieved, as I am in the middle of moving, and it would have been impossible without my phone.
